This piece features a colorful fantasy space scene with spun dichro, UV, planet, a sphere opal planet, starsm soage gas and much more. There is a lot going on and you can really get lost in there. The lense over the space scene has been carved with a series of cosmic images. The back is a swirly purple nebula that really compliments the spacey lensed section.

These sandcarved pieces are made utilizing an extremely time consuming multi-step process. I first create the piece on the torch and anneal it in a digitally controlled kiln. I then clean the piece with acetone, lay out a series of images on a layout program, cut those images on a vinyl plotter, apply them to the the piece, sandblast the piece, soak them in acetone to remove the decals, clean them, and oil them.
