This piece features a green swirlinne nebula with an opal planet floating in the center. The lense is carved with a spacey landscape scene that includes a burning barn, crashed ships, a cow, spaceships, stars, planets, moons, a meteorite, and more. There are drips coming from the bottom of the grass that transition the piece into a unblasted section on the bottom. There is a very small .5cm line that was carven into the smooth section by mistake because some media made it past my masking. The price of the piece has been recuced do to this despite it not being very noticable.

These sandcarved pieces are made utilizing an extremely time consuming multi-step process. I first create the piece on the torch and anneal it in a digitally controlled kiln. I then clean the piece with acetone, lay out a series of images on a layout program, cut those images on a vinyl plotter, apply them to the the piece.
